People, let me give you a little bit of unsolicited advice:
Do not feed coyotes. Ever. (Unless maybe there’s a coyote dying of starvation in the middle of an open, empty plain. I would feed it because if you don’t it might eat you.)
Why shouldn’t you feed coyotes? Well, I’ll tell you!
Feeding a coyote is kind of like feeding a pigeon. The moment you give it a little nibble of bread, all its friends will flock toward you and demand more food. And they’ll keep coming back because they now associate wherever you fed them with food.
The difference is pigeons are mostly harmless. Tons of pigeons sitting on your porch is merely annoying.
Coyotes will eat your neighbors’ pets. And that’s just not cool.
So, please. Do not feed coyotes.
